About MOWA Youth Sports

Welcome to the MOWA Choctaw Youth Sports Association, also known as MWC Sports. We are a vital part of the MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians community, dedicated to fostering the holistic development of our youth through the power of sports. Located in northern Mobile County and southern Washington County in southwestern Alabama, our program serves the ancestral communities of Mount Vernon, McIntosh, and Citronelle Alabama.

Our History and Vision

The MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians have a rich history of resilience and cultural preservation. Our youth sports initiatives are a natural extension of the Tribe's broader commitment to enhancing the overall quality of life for its people. From the availability of facilities like our Sportsplex, which includes fields for baseball/softball, football, soccer, and gym facilities for basketball, to the dedication of our volunteers and coaches, our program reflects a community-centered approach to youth-development.

We believe that participation in sports offers more than just physical exercise; it builds confidence, teaches perseverance, and provides a positive outlet for our young people to grow and express themselves. Our vision is to empower the next generation of MOWA Choctaw leaders, athletes, and community members.
